I’m sure many of you have seen the pictures and stories of the “lost” or “stolen” iPhone 4G on Gizmodo (and reposted everywhere else). I’ve been hoping that the next iPhone would have a front facing camera due to the leaked clues of iChat video being available in iPhone OS 4.0. Taking Gizmodo’s word that this indeed is the 4G iPhone coming this summer, it means that the iPhone 4G will have a front facing video camera for sure. :) Do you agree? What are your thoughts?
Now the real question is which VRS will be the first to release an App for us to make VRS AND point-to-point calls other than using iChat.
What Rene said. Would have made more sense to put the front-facing camera on the iPad than the iPhone. But I’ll be thrilled either way.
I have been submitted feedback on iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad many times we need iSight with iChat app is communication for the deaf. Also I spoke with Apple executive office through VRS about it. My feedback already bring it up to the development team. You all people can submit same feedback to Apple often than I do all time by myself. :-) The link is http://www.apple.com/feedback
It would be great!! I am keeping my eye out for it!!! ;-) It might be FINALLY after many years.. in Europe they already are one head ahead from us with facing camera on cellphones. It has been around for ten years out there… come ON APPLE!!!!!!
@ #2 Real question & @ #4 Jaime Mariona,
Sorenson VRS already have a app. on iPhone. People are happy with their service. I spoke with Sorenson at customer service. They are working on it with Apple for next feature to bring in like this one prototype iPhone HD 4G iChat video. All we have to do is wait for Sorenson to upgrade their app to next version for improving!
Its great to see Sorenson and Purple to have an iPhone app. I hope more VRS providers step up too. Competition does us customers good.
Hey please check facebook about iPhone 4G.
Since my bottom line belief is that deaf people should own all of the VRS industry because it is a natural for us and in our language! Of course, the CEO’s and their deaf staffs have to be highly qualified and ethical in their business practices. Use the SBA to get the needed capital and get things rolling. Utopia? Nah, not if we pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps and work hard to achieve this!
That said, let’s now support ConvoRelay, a new and ever burgeoning deaf owned business. Before we know it, they will be able to sever the umbilical cord they are now tied to and be set free!
There is other link about iphone for the deaf.

my thoughts about iphone 4G with front facing camera is nice but my biggest concern is email it is really slow and take forever for iphone to check email (every 15 minutes) people complained i am slow to response their emails and the vibration only work AFTER i read the messages it is annoying
@Kenneth (#11):
my iPhone receive all of my emails instantly. The vibration works BEFORE my iPhone could completely download the email. I would encourage you call Apple iPhone Support Team via ConvoRelay to resolve the issue. :)

For those who are going to buy the IPHONE 4G will be getting a Dirty Pay plan because it will max out at 2GB then you have to pay $10 for each additional 1GB. The current Iphone users are lucky and still carry their unlimited Data plan. Many people maybe not use much data, but once IF IF they provide ichat/Vrs (later on) then their Data usage will SKYROCKET!!! Therefore their $$$ per month will go up. Anyone challenge me wrong???
John F: We have to wait and see. For most of us who already have iPhone TAP plan, we can keep unlimited plan even with new iPhone. If the data usage is a problem for those on capped plans, we’ll talk with TAP about it. This all may be a moot point because I suspect video chat will be allowed only on WiFi for the time being. We’ll see in a couple of hours!

I read other forum the guy has same issue as mine…
“I recently went from firmware 3.0 to 3.1.3 and while most everything stayed the same, there is something that bothers me.
When checking my mail, the phone now vibrates when its done whether I get a new email or not. Previously, it only vibrated when I got a new mail message. I want to revert back to just vibrating when a new message comes in. Is there a way to do this?”
Kenneth: Take your iPhone to your closest Apple Store and visit the Genius Bar. Ask them to send you an email, and show them how the iPhone does not respond correctly. (If you have an iPhone 3G or 3GS, you may want to wait and update your iPhone to iOS 4 on June 24th and see if that solves the issue first.)
