Unsurprisingly, there are may be some firewall issues cropping up with FaceTime. You may want to check your firewall settings, or talk to your ISP if you are having issues with missed FaceTime calls. This is not necessarily Apple’s fault – it’s the firewall and ISP issue. Apple has tried to make this as seamless as possible, but there will always be glitches.

Per the above link, these port settings are unverified, but you should check to see if these ports are open if you’re having FaceTime issues:
(TCP?)
53
80 (normally open anyway for web)
443
4080
5223
UDP
16399-16472
(Thanks to Jon in the DMO chat room #deafmac for bringing this post to our attention!)
That make me feel like I’m on first time with iChat when it first introduce.
I had to adjust these a little to make them work for our firewalls, but we are having very good luck so far with the following ports. These are just best effort as I do not have any reference from Apple to go by.
UDP
16380 – 16475
10000 – 10100
3400 – 3500
Again, there may be more ports, and this could be too many, but we are connecting every time now.
I’m not experiencing any firewall issues using Qik and fring/skype on my HTC Evo 4g phone on 4G or wifi networks. :)
My issue was not firewall related after all. I’d guess many FaceTime “firewall” issues are not firewall related. Check my next article for more info.

Just tried it, I couldn’t get it to work. Apple need to take a lesson from Skype. Its a no brainier to get Skype working on a network. :D
