Thanks for your sharing…
Sometimes, it’s really agonising that there is no caption…
This list is GREAT!!! Any word on Television shows?
Andy
I agree with csano saying that Paramount was the only movie studio that provide captioned movies via iTunes. I downloaded and watched “Clock Stopper” with closed captioned a day after Apple released new movie rental. I emailed Apple that I complimented Apple for its effort to set up closed caption and English subtitle in its iTunes application and encourage to increase the number of closed captioned and/or English subtitles. Please all of you sent Apple your email to encourage Apple in friendly way so it will listen us better.
This is a great accomplishment providing captions for those who are deaf and hard of hearing. There are almost no sites with videos that provide this kind of service. We are working to see that all videos and other media on the web is captions. Thanks for taking this giant step.
This is interesting, as I did a project on tv shows DVDs and special features closed captioning. I might be able to help.
This is the list of all movies studios.
This is great. I kept looking for things to download off iTunes with captions and hadn’t found any, but then I’ve been looking since last fall when they released the captioning support, and I had not looked again lately.
Now this is what will finally get me buying movies and shows from the iTunes Store. FWIW, I’m not deaf, but am hearing impaired enough to benefit from CC and subtitles (maybe I should start a companion site, eh?); the lack thereof is what kept me from buying many shows — including full seasons of Battlestar Galactica — from the iTS.
BTW, thanks for the link, Sonny. I’ll keep a close eye on that site.
One additional comment: what about upgrades (a la iTunes Plus) for those of us who already purchased movies or shows that are later captioned? Any word on that?
Thank you for create this list. Very helpful! I have rented several of those listed. What is even more cool is that I am able to use component cable (cable from iPhone to television using A/V connection) to hook up with my iPhone to my television and watch the movie on a bigger screen. I hope more corporations will include captions on their rental movies for us to see on. DeafMac.Org, Keep up great work!
I have show the example how to location the movie with CC on iTunes. I’m make more easy for anyone who interest to rent or buy movies with CC. Yeah, I was little behind news. Ha.

So, if you want to watch something on iTunes on your mac and not on the iPod– how can you see the cc?
Sorry, comments are closed.

Adam Stone, on his DeafDC blog, mentioned that Paramount was the only movie studio that provided captioned movies via iTunes. The titles that I checked from the list above were released by Paramount.
