Ladies and Gentlemen, the future may be here sooner than we think. The folks at Ecamm.com (the developers of iGlasses) has found a way to use iPhone’s camera resources and enable it for Video Conferencing!
I spoke to the developer of the iPhone Video Conferencing and he said that the software was quickly developed to enter a competition and won first place. There is no software to download and even if there was, the installation is a very difficult process because Apple has not opened up the unit for third-party softwares.
The software only transmit 2 frames per second but at least it’s a start. There’s Wifi so that will definitely improve with more development and effort. The ability to bring the camera “to the front” is used with Ecamm’s huckleberry mirror.
Thought it was worth mentioning because I know this breakthrough will push Apple to do something even when they don’t have it in their plans.
Way to go, Ecamm!

As planned, Apple is coming out with proprietary video conferencing solutions. Sophisticated.
Off the point. Adam Betts and one other guy came up with this!

WOW! Absolute portability in the palm of your hand!! Although not useful yet, it will be in the very near future. And best of all…it’s on a mac!
