One question: How will it be possible to watch and chat similar on video iChat because the camera is on the back and the screen is on the front. Hopefully the 2nd rev iPhone will be release with the camera on the front or yet better with two cameras (1 on back & 1 on front).

I'm hoping at&t will buy a Cellular ONE (a cellphone company) in Alaska.... On the other hand, isn't monopolizing a good thing? *wink-smile*

Fortunately, I have had a chance to test the iPhone at the Apple Store, Third Street Promenade -- I literally was tempted to shoplift but I love Apple too much to do that. :P

I agree with everyone here with the shortcomings of the iPhone -- namely iChat (but, fortunately, as Tayler has mentioned, it is coming. (Yay!)). Not only that, I want to see more third-party stuff coming to it... widgets and the like.

Otherwise, the iPhone has bought me. Too bad I'm broke... donations, anyone? :D

I knew it and told people the ichat will release within three weeks from now my wild guess. Because one of my friend is a developer for MacOS X and told me saw ichat on iphone and its awesome! The reason they couldnt release ichat on iphone due to trouble with wireless kept switching from EDGE to WiFi. That cause ichat disconnecting and reconnected not like tmobile IM. Apple wanted to release iPhone now and improving this before 10. 5 thats what i suspected.

iChat for iPhone is <a href="http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/07/01/apple_planning_host_of_iphone_updates_before_leopard_release_source.html" rel="nofollow">coming soon</a>.

"A true instant messaging client described as a mobile version of iChat, will arrive "very, very soon" and certainly before Leopard."
